    TWO WELL KNOWN MEN DEAD
Albert Sage, a pioneer settler of Shawnee died last Sunday evening at a hospital in Kansas City and the body was brought to Silver Lake Monday. The funeral was held from the Sage home one mile south of Silver Lake.
The Masonic lodge had charge of the funeral and one of the greatest crowds ever in attendance at a funeral came to pay their last respects to Mr. Sage. Mr. Sage was born in Syracuse, N. Y. 61 years ago and came to Kansas about the time of the civil war. He settled near Dover. Later he moved to Silver Lake. He is survived by his widow, and three children, Mrs. Lewis Annan, Robert and Ruth Sage.
