    Edgar Harold Salts
    MAYETTA – Edgar Harold Salts, 60, Route 1, Mayetta, died Tuesday morning when he became wedged between a tree and the door of his farm truck in a pasture he rented three miles northeast of here.

    He was born Sept. 19, 1911, at Mayetta, and had lived most of his life in this community. He was a farmer and also a barber in Holton.

    Mr. Salts was a member of the Mayetta Masonic Lodge No. 393, Topeka Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Mayetta United Methodist Church.

    He was married Aug. 15, 1933 to Ethel Whittington, in Lyndon. She survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Guess, Holton; a son, Dale Salts, Hoyt; a sister, Mrs. Ida Townsend, 827 Cambridge, Topeka; three brothers, Alva, Cassville, Mo., Guy Salts, Hoyt, and Glen Salts, Holton; and two grandchildren.

    Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be in Mayetta Cemetery, with graveside service conducted by the Mayetta Masonic Lodge.
