    Theodore Joseph ‘Teddy’ Schmid
    Theodore Joseph “Teddy” Schmid, 14, Topeka, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1994, at a Topeka hospital.

    He was an eight grade student at Rossville Grade School.

    He was born Sept. 25, 1979, in Parsons, the son of Ted L. and Carrie Sevart Schmid. He moved to Topeka in 1989.

    He was a member of Foursquare Church in Parsons.

    Survivors include his parents, Ted and Carrie Schmid, Topeka; three sisters, Kelly Hudnall, Lufkin, Texas, Robyn O’Malley, Scammon, and Mendy Schmid, at home; two brothers Kyle Schmid and Matthew Schmid, both at home; and grandparents, John West and Ruth West, Joplin, Mo., and George Sevart and Loretta Sevart, Parsons.

    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God Church, 500 S.W. 27th. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, N.W. 35th and Menoken Road. He will lie in state from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the Parker-Price Mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Teddy Schmid Memorial Fund and sent in care of Peoples State bank, 443 Main, Rossville, Kan., 66533, or sent in care of the Burris-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, Kan., 67357.
