| Obituary- Schraeder, Frank Frank Schrader Dies after a long illness
Frank Schraeder, 88, of Delia died Friday evening at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka after a long illness.
He was born October 8, 1875 in Duduque, Iowa, and came to St. Marys with his parents when he was six years old. The family moved to Delia in 1930. He was married to Mary O’Connell at the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Marys, May 8, 1906. Mrs. Schraeder preceded him in death August 1934. Mr. Schraeder was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Delia. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by three sons, Francis of Rossville, James of 224 Polk St., Topeka, and Stephen of South Bend, Indiana; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Baker of Los Puenti, Calif.; three grandchildren and one brother, John Schraeder of Frankfort, Ks.
The rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. Requiem Mass was recited at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Church in Delia. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Rev. George Seuferling officiated.
Pallbearers were Martin Brock, Joe Lane, George DeBacker, Theodore Hurla and Peter Kovar of Delia, and Fred McCollough of Rossville.
