    Obituary- Sears, Clarance

    Clarance Sears
    LAWRENCE - Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lawrence Heights Christian Church here for Clarance A. Sears, 81, Lawrence, who died Saturday at a Lawrence hospital.

    He was born March 2, 1895, in LaHarpe in Allen County. He was a farmer until 1952 when he moved to Lawrence.

    He, was employed by Haskell Indian Junior College and retired in the early 1960s.

    He was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude L. Sears, on Dec. 27t 1969, and a stepson, Fred L. Peters, on Nov. 20, 1949.

    Survivors include two stepdaughters, Ruby Peters and Bea Abram, both of Lawrence; three stepsons, Cecil Peters, 1945 N. Jefferson, Topeka, Lester Peters, Moore, Okla., and Claude Peters, Lawrence; a brother, Robert Sears, Ellsworth; 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

    Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Lawrence.

    Rumsey Funeral Home at Lawrence is in charge of arrangements.
