  Obituary- Seitz, Nicholas An Auto Accident With Fatal Results Nicholas J. Seitz, aged 38, died Tuesday night at a Topeka hospital from injuries received in an auto accident here on July 4th. Last Saturday afternoon an auto driven by the owner, Ira Oox, who lives north of Delia and carrying Nicholas Seitz, Art White and Ed Barber, started from the Howard grove to make a trip to Rossville. At the corner near the Howard residence where the road turns north, the auto turned over in making the turn. Neither auto nor the occupants were damaged in this accident. After righting the machine the car was again started on its trip to town. A half mile farther north the road makes a short jog of perhaps 200 feet to the Mai Street road. The road is soft and is usually very dusty after much travel over it. It was here the auto again turned turtle this time with serious results. Seitz, who it is said was riding on the footboard, was probably struck on the head by a fender and the blow caused concussion of the brain. Cox received a wrenched neck and bruises about the back. Arthur White received severe but not serious injuries. Mr. Barber was slightly injured. The car whirled so that it was headed south. Its steering wheel and windshield were broken otherwise it was damaged little. It was necessary for an auto to race several miles north of Rossville before a doctor could be found. Dr. H.B. Miller hurried to the injured man and found him in serious shape. Sunday Seitz was taken to Topeka in hopes an operation would save his life. The injured man never regained consciousness after being hurt, and died Tuesday night. The remains were taken to St. Marys last night where the funeral will be held. Mr. Seitz and his wife have been employed at the Mulvane ranch for several years as boardinghouse keepers.
