    Rev. Dwight Seneker
    The Rev. Dwight Seneker, 85, Mt. Vernon, MO, formerly of Rossville, died Sunday, December 27, 1998, in Mt. Vernon after a three-month illness following complications from surgery.

    He was born May 1, 1913, in Lawrence County, MO to James Eldred and Edna Frances Rutherford Seneker.

    He was a 1931 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and a graduate of Park College and McCormick Theological Seminary.

    He was a minister for 45 years. He was ordained in the First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Vernon in 1950, and served pastorates in Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, including Presbyterian churches in Rossville and Delia. Twenty-five years ago he moved from Rossville to Mt. Vernon, MO.

    He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Orr May 12, 1934, in Mt. Vernon. She survives.

    Other survivors include two sons, Donald Seneker and Douglas Seneker, both of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Sue Gabbert, Mt. Vernon, MO; one brother, Leon Seneker, Salem, MO; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

    His service was Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Vernon. Burial was in Ozark Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Mt. Vernon.

    Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, was in charge of arrangements.

    Rossville - The Rev. Dwight Seneker, 85, Mount Vernon, Mo., formerly of Rossville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at a Mount Vernon, Mo., nursing home. He suffered complications following surgery three months earlier at a hospital in Springfield, Mo.

    He was born May 1, 1913, in Lawrence County, Mo., to James Eldred and Edna Frances Rutherford Seneker. He was graduated from Mount Vernon, Mo., High School in 1931, Park College in Parkville, Mo., and McCormick Theological Seminary.

    He was ordained to the ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, Mo., in 1950 and was a minister 45 years, having served churches in Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. He served Presbyterian churches in Rossville and Delia while he lived in Rossville. He moved from Rossville to Mount Vernon, Mo., 25 years ago.

    He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Orr May 12, 1934, in Mount Vernon, Mo. She survives.

    Other survivors include two sons, Donald Seneker and Douglas Seneker, both in Mount Vernon, Mo.; a daughter, Sue Gabbert, Mount Vernon, Mo.; a brother, Leon Seneker, Salem, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, Mo. Burial will be in Ozark Prairie Cemetery northeast of Mount Vernon, Mo.
