  Obituary- Shogren, Carl Carl Shogren BURLINGAME — Carl Shogren, 88, Burlingame, died Saturday, Nov. 22,1997, at a nursing home here. He was born April 15, 1909, north of Burlingame, the son of Claus and Ida Colstrom Sjogren. He attended Fountain Ridge Rural School near Burlingame. He spent his life in the Burlingame and Carbondale communities. He worked in coal mines near Burlingame and was a farmer many years. He was married to Lola Hale Oct. 17, 1935, in Brewster in Thomas County. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Zielinski, Burlingame, Eda Rose Brown, Carbondale, and Mary Ann Cummings, Topeka; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Burlingame Cemetery. Mr. Shogren will lie in state from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Carey Funeral Home in Burlingame where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas, Topeka, 66808.
