  Obituary- Short, J. Mortimer Morty Short Dead J. Mortimer Short, 51, died Wednesday night in a Topeka hospital, following an operation and a week's illness. Mr. Short is a former Rossville boy and his wife was also formerly of this city. Besides his widow he is survived by one son. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Peebler Funeral home and burial will be in Topeka cemetery.
