• Documents		Obituary- Short, Thelma 1 Thelma L. Short ST. MARYS — Thelma L. Short, 89, St. Marys, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at a St. Marys nursing home. She was born July 4,1909, in Rossville, the daughter of James M. and Myrtle Mamie Lillard. She grew up in Rossville and Valencia, and was graduated in 1927 from Silver Lake High School. She had lived in St. Marys since 1957. Mrs. Short worked in local grocery stores and was a telephone operator in Rossville and Silver Lake. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Hoy Heim Post in St. Marys and was a member of the Good Sam Camping Club. She married Everett Short June 4, 1957, in Westmoreland. He survives. Mrs. Short also is survived by a sister, Marjie Hoobler, Rossville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Piper- Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in St. Marys. Mrs. Short will lie in state after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Lillard American Legion Post No. 31, Rossville, or to the charity of the donor’s choice and can be sent in care pf the funeral home, 714 Maple, St. Marys, 66536.
