    James Skelley, Topeka, Dies
    James A. Skelley, 83, 3930 Rochester Road, died Friday in a hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He had been staying in a St. Louis retirement home several months.

    He was born April 18, 1884, near Delia, and had spent most of his life in the Delia community before he moved to Topeka in 1958. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

    He and his wife, Estella, were married in 1937. She was a former superintendent of the Shawnee County Convalescent Home

    **Besides his wife, survivors include a sister, Mrs. Alice Halloran, Kansas City.

    Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mr. Skelley will lie in state after 4 p.m. Sunday in Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home where rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

    Delia native dies Friday in St. Louis
    James Skelley, Topeka, former Delia resident, died Friday in a St. Louis hospital. Mr. Skelley, 83, had been staying in a St. Louis retirement home the past several months.

    He was born Apr. 18, 1884, near Delia and had spent most of his life in the Delia community before moving to Topeka in 1958. He was a member of Assumption Church.

    Mr. Skelley and his wife, Estella, were married in 1937. She was a former superintendent of the Shawnee County Convalescent Home.

    Besides his wife, his survivors include a sister, Mrs. Alice Halloran, of Kansas City.

    Services were held Monday in Holy Name Catholic Church, with interment made in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
