ROSSVILLE — Alma D. Skinner, 87, Rossville, formerly of Wathena, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 1995, at a nursing home here.
She was born Feb. 24, 1908, in Hiawatha, the daughter of Chris and Helena Hoepkens Bauman, and spent most of her life in Wathena. She was a seamstress 10 years for the Nelly Don Co., and later worked 13 years for the Stevens Hat Co., both in St. Joseph, Mo. She moved to Rossville in 1991.
She was a member of the United
Methodist Church in Wathena.
She was married to Warren D.
Skinner June 9, 1926, in St. Joseph, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter,
Shirley Henson, Topeka; a son, Connie Warren Skinner, Topeka; a sister, Minnie Snook, Atchison; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at
Harman-Rohde Funeral Horrid in Wathena. Burial will be in Bellemont Cemetery in Wathena.
