Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Mosher's Funeral Home in Plainville for Mrs. Frances Marie Slansky, 80, Topeka, formerly of Plainville. She died Tuesday, April 27, 1982, at a Topeka hospital. She had lived in a Topeka nursing home since June 1981.
She was born October 6, 1901, at Rossville, the daughter of Paul and Frances Kovarik Kovar.
Her husband, John Slansky, died in 1959. A son, Earl Slansky, died in July 1979.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Slansky, Topeka, Mrs. Vera Oder, Salina, and Mrs. Violet Rohleder, Lincoln, Nebr.; a sister, Mrs. Letha Olejnik, Delia; five brothers, George Kovar, Merriam, Emial Kovar, Rossville, Ben Kovar, Atchison, Ed Kovar, Wenatchee, Wash., and Henry Cover, Overland Park; eight grandchildren; and sis great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Plainville Cemetery. Parker-Price Mortuary was in charge of Topeka arrangements.
