  Obituary- Smith, Cassius CASSIUS M. SMITH Cassius M. Smith, 77, long-time farmer and stockman of Rossville, died Wednesday night in a Topeka hospital He was born in North Bennington, Vt., and came to Rossville in 1872, living there continuously since that time. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor May Smith; a son, Roger C. Smith of Kansas City; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Eleanor Duff of Tacoma, Wash., and a grand daughter. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Rossville Christian church with the pastor, Orel Newbrey, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Marlin Harth and Mr. Glen Garrett with Miss Thelma Parr accompanied at the piano. Pallbearers were: M. L. Whearty, Leroy Masters, Bennie Dick, Elmer Olson, Howard Stiles and Sidney Stumbaugh. Burial in Rossville cemetery.
