    Mike was born February 4, 1892 in rural Rossville. He died May 17, at a nursing home in Rossville at the age of 92 years. He was the son of William Lafayette and Martha Lenora Crouse Adams.

    Mike's occupation was that of a farmer and stockman. He was the operator of a steam engine threshing machine for many years.

    Mike was married to Nellie Strieby in 1926. She preceded him in death in 1940. On December 3, 1946 Mike and Mary Hoenshell Ramage were united in marriage. Mary, or Molly as we knew her, preceded him in death on August 27, 1971.

    In 1971, Mike moved to Rossville to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Griffie Andrick.
    Mike was a member of the Church of Christ, Topeka, California Acres.

    Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Thelma Armagest, King City, Missouri, and one brother, Irvin Adams, Holton, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

    Mike was preceded in death also by his mother and father, four brothers, Harold, Tommy, Earl and Guy, four sisters, Maggie, Ruth, Bettie and Griffie.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Cappers Foundation for Crippled Children, Topeka.
    Services were at the Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, May 21, at 10 a.m. The family met between 7 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home, Sunday May 20. Burial was at the Hoyt Cemetery, Hoyt.

    Pallbearers were Joe Fitzsimmons, Arthur Eby, Richard Walders, Melton Daugherty, Mike Curran and Kenneth Broyles.

    The minister was Wilford Landes and the music was furnished by Alvin Keen, Lynn Benton, Carolyn Desomers and Mary Branch. The songs they sang were "Beautiful Isle," "What a Friend We Have In Jesus," and "Precious Memories."

    Walter E. Adams, 92, Delia, died Thursday, May 17, 1984, at a Rossville nursing home.

    Mr. Adams was a farmer and stockman in the Delia, Mayetta, and Silver Lake communities.

    He was born February 4, 1892, at Rossville, the son of William and Nora Crouse Adams.

    Mr. Adams was a member of the Church of Christ in Topeka.

    He was preceded in death by two wives, Mrs. Nellie Streebie Adams, and Mrs. Millie Ramage Adams.

    Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Thema Armagost, King City, Mo.; and a brother, Ervin Adams, Holton.

    Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral home in Holton. Burial was in Hoyt Cemetery. Relatives and friends met from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Capper Foundation for Crippled Children, 3500 W. 10th, 66606.
