    LINDA J. SMITHERS

    Mrs. Linda Joyce Smithers, 41, Topeka, died Thursday, April 3, 1986, at her home. She had a brain tumor and had been ill since November.

    Mrs. Smithers taught at Silver Lake High School during the late 1960s and early 1970s. She later was a secretary for Mac Lee Medical Supply Co., in Topeka, then was an accountant for the KMG Main Herdman accounting firm in Topeka.

    She was born May 31, 1944, in Topeka, the daughter of Phillip C. and Dora Simecka Immenschuh.

    Mrs. Smithers was a member of Northland Christian Church.

    She was married to Wayne F. Smithers, August 26, 1967, in Topeka. He survives.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Sandra Smithers, at home; a son, Steven Smithers, at home; a stepson, Kenneth Smithers, Belton, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Decker, Riverside, Mo.; and two brothers, Marvin Immenschuh, Delia, and Robert Immenschuh, Rossville.

    Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Northland Christian Church with the Reverend Dale C. Thomas, officiating. Burial was in Rochester Cemetery. Parker-Price Mortuary was in charge of services.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Northland Christian Church, 3102 N. Topeka Ave., Topeka, Ks. 66617; or the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka, Ks. 66611.
