| Obituary- Spetter, Nellie Nellie Spetter
Nellie A. Spetter, 77, passed away Oct. 13, 2007, at her daughter’s residence in Delia. She was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Osawatomie, the daughter of Cecil and Laura Adams-Dain. Nellie grew up in Beagle.
She married Nicholas Eugene Spetter on May 1, 1950, at Most Pure Heart Catholic Church in Topeka. He survives.
Mrs. Spetter was a homemaker and had graduated from the Menninger Bible Study Group. She enjoyed woodworking, sewing and baking, and she especially liked taking her grandchildren and great-grandchildren fishing. She was known to all in Delia as Grandma Spetter.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eugene; four daughters, Judy Cress of Delia, Sarah Bahner of Columbus, Ohio, Cookie Kochaniec of Parrish, Fla., and Patricia Jordan of Peculiar, Mo.; two sons, Cecil Spetter of Delia and Sam Spetter of Holton. She is also survived by one brother, Wesley Dain of Silver Lake, 25 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Jackson and Ruth Hippensteel, her brothers, Don and Bill Dain, and two grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Oct. 19 at Penwell- Gabel Parker-Price Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Home Health/Hospice of Holton Community Hospital, 1110 Columbine Dr., Holton, KS 66436.
