DELIA — Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Presbyterian Church here for Ernest H. Springer, 96, Delia who died Tuesday night in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted Nov. 8.
He was born Nov. 8, 1879, in Brown County and spent most of his life in the Delia community. He was a member of the former Adrian United Brethren Church north of Delia. He was a farmer.
He was married to Lora Richardson on Aug. 20,1899. She died April 23,1964.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Herma Stauffer, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Sylvia McGue, 3700 Wilder Road; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Dressier, Belleville; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Delia Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home at St Marys.

Ernest H. Springer, 96, Delia, died Tuesday, December 9, 1975 at a Topeka hospital where he was admitted on November 8.
He was born November 8, 1879 in Brown County, Kansas, and lived most of his life in the Delia area. As a youth, he was baptized in the former Adrian United Brethren Church north of Delia. Mr. Springer was a farmer until his retirement.
On August 20, 1899 he married Lora Richardson. She died in 1967.
Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Herma Stauffer, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Sylvia McGue, Topeka; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Dressier, Belleville, Ks.; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Delia Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Delia Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Verschelden Funeral Chapel from 2:00 p.m. Thursday until noon on Friday; then from 1:00 until service time at the Delia church.
