They were attended by Mrs. Marion McDowell and Mr. Claude Radcliff. Mrs. St. Louis is employed at Harry's IGA as manager of bakery dept. Mr. St. Louis is employed by the Post Office. They will reside at 1716 W. 3rd St. in Topeka. |

Charles L. St. Louis, 88, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008. Mr. St. Louis was born in Topeka on May 16, 1920, the son of Emil and Margaret (Grieves) St. Louis. He was a 1939 graduate of Topeka High School. Mr. St. Louis proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force and served in the South Pacific with the 9th Pursuit Squadron until May 1945. During his service in World War II, he earned a Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge with bronze oak leaf cluster, and Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one star. Mr. St. Louis was employed by the U.S. Postal Service retiring in 1985 after 23 years of service. Mr. St. Louis married W. Eileen (Patton) Lemon on February 2, 1968. She survives at the home. Other survivors include his sons, Charles L. St. Louis, Jr, Ewa Beach, HI; James Lemon, El Dorado, AR; Joel Robert Lemon and Jerrol O. Lemon, both of Topeka; daughter, Jennifer Comstock, Topeka; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin St. Louis. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Mr. St. Louis will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.PenwellGabel.com
