| Obituary- Stanley, Anna Anna Stanley
Anna Young Stanley was born at Walshville, Illinois, February 18, 1865, died at her home in Rossville, Wednesday, October 10, 1923, aged 58 years, 7 months and 22 days, after a ten days illness.
She had been a resident in this community 45 years, coming to Kansas in 1878 with her parents and living in the old home southwest of Rossville for many years.
On October 4, 1905 she was united in marriage to Mr. A. S. Stanley. This union was blessed by two children, Ruth and Reid, twins, who with the husband survive to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Stanley’s life had been one of devotion, to her parents and later to her husband and children. She early affiliated with the Christian church and bore her share of the work undertaken by her Church and tried to live daily the principles of Christianity as taught by her faith.
She was a member of Amaryllis Chapter, O. E. S.
The funeral service held Friday October 12, at 2 p.m. in the Christian church, was conducted by the Rev. G. G. Horne, of Topeka, and interment made in the Rossville cemetery. The pall bearers were Mr. Morris Bond, Mr. H. G. Bond, Mr. C. E. VanVleck, Mr. H. E. Ishmael, Mr. E. D. Hartzell, Mr. Gus Kassebaum.
Beside the husband and children, two brothers survive, Mr. O. H. Young, of Rossville and Mr. Elmer Young, of Topeka.
Other relatives from out-of-town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Young, Mr. Herbert Young, of Hardin, Mo.; Mrs. Mattie Hill, of Douglas, Mo., Mrs. Albright, Mrs. Minnie Young and sons Winford and Lester, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Young, Mr. Abner Startup, Miss Della Startup, Mrs. Hattie Miller, all of Topeka and her friend, Mrs. J. Kerns, of Kansas City, Kansas

Deaths and Funerals
Mrs. Anna Stanley – Funeral services for Mrs. A. S. Stanley, who passed away Wednesday morning at 5:30 o’clock, will be held tomorrow afternoon, Oct. 12, in the Christian church, conducted by the Rev. G. G. Horne, of Topeka, former pastor of the Christian church. Burial will be made in Rossville cemetery. Obituary will be published next week.
