    Frank Startup

    Frank Startup died this morning (Monday) at 2:45 o'clock at the family home 222 1/2 East Main street, in the Hetrick building. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4 o'clock from the First Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. H.W. Todd, and burial made in Elmwood cemetery. Mr. Startup was 8 years of age and had resided in this county since 1867. He was engaged in farming until recent years when the family moved to town and had charge of the Hetrick rooms.

    Mr. Startup had been in poor health for the past three years but was sick only a few days previous to his death which was due to a nervous breakdown.

    Mrs. Startup and three children survive. The daughters are Mrs. Joe Cooper and Miss Dais Startup and the son is James Startup, all of this city. Three brothers also survive. They are Abner, of Topeka, Charles of Tulsa, Okla., and J.C. Startup of Rossville.

    Mr. J.C. Startup who was called to Chanute last week by his brother's illness, returned to Rossville yesterday.
