    HALLIE P. STARTUP
    Hallie P. Startup, 69, of Silver Lake, died Monday in a Topeka hospital. He was born May 28, 1888, at Chanute and lived in Rossville before moving to the Silver Lake community 46 years ago. He was a retired farmer.

    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mamie Startup, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Bowers and Mrs. Mildred Pinkston, both of Topeka; three brothers, Walter Startup, Redlands, Calif.; Harry Startup, Topeka; and Myron Startup, Orian, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 pm today at the Silver Lake Methodist Church with burial in Silver Lake Cemetery.
