| Obituary- Startup, Walter 1 Aged resident of Rossville is dead
Services were held Tuesday at the Parker Mortuary in Topeka for Walter R. Startup, 80, Rossville, who died Saturday in a Topeka hospital.
He was born May 6, 1891, at Rossville and, spent most of his life in the Rossville community. Mr. Startup had been a farmer and was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad before his retirement.
He was married to the former Bessie Cottle. She survives.
Other survivors include a son: Merwin Startup, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
Burial was in the Silver Lake Cemetery.
