• Documents		Obituary- Startup, Walter 1 Aged resident of Rossville is dead Services were held Tuesday at the Parker Mortuary in Topeka for Walter R. Startup, 80, Rossville, who died Saturday in a Topeka hospital. He was born May 6, 1891, at Rossville and, spent most of his life in the Rossville community. Mr. Startup had been a farmer and was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad before his retirement. He was married to the former Bessie Cottle. She survives. Other survivors include a son: Merwin Startup, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. Burial was in the Silver Lake Cemetery. Walter Startup Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary for Walter R. Startup, 80, Rossville, who died Saturday in a Topeka hospital. He was born May 6, 1891, at Rossville and spent most of his life in the Rossville community. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been a farmer and was employed by Union Pacific Railroad before he retired. He was married to the former Bessie Cottle. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Merwin Startup, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
