Mr. and Mrs. Francis P. Stockman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home in St. Marys Sunday. They were married February 12, 1923, at St. Patricks Church, Parsons, Ks. Mrs. Stockman is the former Martha C. Boelens, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Boelens. The lovely cake was made by Mrs. Henry Stockman. A buffet dinner was served to family and friends. Family of the couple attending were: Mrs. Pat Banks. Wamego: Mrs. Betty Hazzard, Ozawkie; Leo Stockman and family. Emmett: Joe Stockman, Tom Stockman and Phillip Stockman, all of Topeka; Henyr Stockman. St. Marys; Don Stockman and family. Rossville Bob Stockman and family, Maple Hill; Frances Carlson and family, Slayton. Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Stockman, Lenexa; and Mrs. Mary Hinman, Wichita. Ted Stockman, Bakersfield. Calif., was unable to attend

| Obituary- Stockman, Francis FRANCIS “BUD” STOCKMAN
Francis P. “Bud” Stockman, 82, St. Marys, died Friday, June 3, 1983, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born November 25, 1900, near St. Marys, the son of Theodore and Hortense Pessemier Stockman. He attended St. Mary’s College and spent all his life in the St. Marys community.
Mr. Stockman was a retired farmer and lately was a dealer in antique stoves.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Sandy Hook School Board District No. 39, and president of St. Marys Rodeo in 1948.
He. was married to Martha Bolens February 12, 1923, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Parsons. She survives. A son, Harold Stockman, died in 1958, and a daughter, Regina Stockman, died in 1948.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Betty Hazard, Ozawkie, Mrs. Pat Banks, Wamego, and Mrs. Fran Carlson, Slayton, Minn.; eight sons, Ted Stockman, Lost Hills, Calif., Bob Stockman, Maple Hill, Leo Stockman, Emmett, Joe Stockman, Tom Stockman and Phil Stockman, all of Topeka, Don Stockman, Rossville, and Henry Stockman, St. Marys; a sister, Mrs. Florentine Emert, Rossville; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. A wake service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday at Verschelden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
