Mr. and Mrs. Francis P. Stockman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home in St. Marys Sunday. They were married February 12, 1923, at St. Patricks Church, Parsons, Ks. Mrs. Stockman is the former Martha C. Boelens, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Boelens. The lovely cake was made by Mrs. Henry Stockman. A buffet dinner was served to family and friends. Family of the couple attending were: Mrs. Pat Banks. Wamego: Mrs. Betty Hazzard, Ozawkie; Leo Stockman and family. Emmett: Joe Stockman, Tom Stockman and Phillip Stockman, all of Topeka; Henyr Stockman. St. Marys; Don Stockman and family. Rossville Bob Stockman and family, Maple Hill; Frances Carlson and family, Slayton. Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Stockman, Lenexa; and Mrs. Mary Hinman, Wichita. Ted Stockman, Bakersfield. Calif., was unable to attend

Harold Edward Stockman, 22 of
Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of St.
Marys, Kansas, was drowned Friday afternoon in a pond in Arlington, Texas, while in swimming with two friends from Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born September 14, 1935 in St. Marys, Kansas. He attended school in St. Marys, Kansas, and was engaged in farming with his father in the Sandy Hook Commun¬ity south of St. Marys until a year ago when he took a position with the D. H. Garrett Construction Co. in Fort Worth, Texas.
He lay in state at the Verschelden Funeral Chapel from 7:30 P.M. Sunday until time of the service. The rosary was re¬cited at 8:30 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home. The funeral was at 9:00 A. M. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys, Kansas. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Rev. A. J. Adams, S. J. officiating.
He is survived by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Francis P. Stockman of the home. Three sisters: Mrs. Betty Bogardus, Maple Hill, Kan., Mrs. Patricia Banks, Wamego, Kansas, Mrs. Frances Carlson, Sioux Falls, So. Dak., Eight brothers: Ted R. Stockman, Avondale, Arizona, Robert M. Stockman, Maple Hill, Kansas, Leo W. Stockman, Maple Hill, Kansas, Joseph L. Stockman, Donald H. Stockman, J. Henry Stockman, Thomas E. Stockman and Phillip R. Stockman, all of the home. Several nieces and nephews. One sister, Mrs. Regina Benney, of Topeka preceded him in death.
