    EVELYN E. STRIMPLE
    Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Junction City for Evelyn E. Strimple, 69, Junction City, who died Tuesday, January 9, 1979, at a Wichita hospital.

    She was born April 3, 1909, in Rossville. She was employed in civil service at Fort Riley from 1929 to 1959 before serving as a court reporter for the Eighth Judicial District in Junction City, from 1961 to 1975. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Knife and Fork Club, Geary County Mental Health Association, a charter member of the Geary County historical Society, and a patron of the Little Theater, all at Junction City. She also was a member of the National Association for Retired Federal Employees and the Kansas City Mercedes-Benz Club.

    Survivors include two brothers, Joe Strimple, Galveston, Tex., and Earl Strimple, Wichita.

    Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Junction City and sent in care of the funeral home.
