| Marriage- Besta, Lottie-Stum, John 1 Mrs. Belle Stum announces the marriage of her son, John Stum, to Miss Lottie Besta. The wedding occurred Wednesday, April 11th at Alma. Mrs. Stum is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albin Besta of this community. Mr. and Mrs. Stum will make their home west of Rossville on the Mulvane ranch, where is employed by Mr. F.P. McCollough. |

John Edward Stum, 69, Rossville, died Friday in a Topeka hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1902, at Rossville and spent his life in the Rossville community. He had been a foreman at the Mulvan [sic Mulvane] Ranch near Rossville almost 20 years and later was a farmer before he retired a few years ago. He was a member of the Christian Church at Rossville.
He was married to Lottie Besta April 11, 1928, at Alma. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Benny Horak, Delia, and Mrs. Agnes Cox, Rossville; two sons, Duane Stum and Wilbur Stum, both of Rossville; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Baird, Rossville, Mrs. Alice DeGraff, Topeka, and Mrs. Agnes Kesler, 3505 N. Central, Topeka; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Christian Church.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary for John Edward Stum, 69, Rossville, who died Friday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted earlier the same day.
He was born Oct. 15, 1902, at Rossville and spent his life in the Rossville community. He had been a foreman at the Mulvane Ranch near Rossville nearly 20 years and later was a farmer before he retired. He was a member of the Rossville Christian Church.
He was married to Lottie Besta April 11, 1928, at Alma. She survives.
