A wedding reception was held for the young couple at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will Reser south of Kingsville, Tuesday evening. The immediate relatives were the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Rezac will make their home on the S.F. Joy farm north of Rossville. Mrs. Rezac is the daughter of Mr. Mell Wood living northwest of the city and a splendid young lady. Mr. Rezac is a thrifty young farmer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rezac from the same neighborhood as the bride.

• Documents		Obituary- Surritt, Winnifred Winnifred C. Surritt Winnifred C. Surritt, 75, Silver Lake, died Sunday, October 29, 2000, at a Topeka hospital. She was born June 30, 1925, near St Clere, the daughter of Fred E. and Ethel May Wood Rezac. She grew up in the St. Clere and Emmett communities. She was graduated from Rossville High School in 1943. She had worked for the State of Kansas Veterans Affairs Division in the Accounting Department. Winnifred was a member of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Group at the church. She was also a Sunday school teacher. On October 25,1946, she was married to Ervin L. Surritt. He died February 15,1991. Surviving her are two daughters, Anita Parks, Emporia, and Kayla Schleif, Belvue; a son, Bryon Surritt, San Antonio, TX; four sisters, Ethel May Hodge, Topeka, Ramona Peck, Des Moines, IA, Ann Marshall, St. Marys, and Alice Brees, Emmett; and 11 grandchildren. A family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home. Her service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Silver Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to die Silver Lake United Methodist Church and sent in care of Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys 66536.
