| Obituary- Sutherland, Claude Claude (Grover) Sutherland
Claude (Grover) Sutherland, 75, died September 19 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clyde Strimple, at Anthony, KS. He was born Feb. 27, 1885. He had lived in Topeka for 18 years before he recently went to Anthony to make his home. He had been in ill health for several months.
His son-in-law, Clyde Strimple, is the son of Guy Strimple of Rossville.
Besides Mrs. Strimple, Mr. Sutherland is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Chas. Walker of Pratt, and Mrs. Cleo Schwartz of Gorham, KS.; two sons, Claude Sutherland of Overland Park, KS., and Thomas Scritchfield of Topeka; one brother, Hiram Scritchfield of Green River, Wyoming, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Rossville Methodist Church with burial in Rossville Cemetery. Hurley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
