Trahoon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Trahoon of Rossville. The wedding took place at 6:30 o’clock Friday evening at the Trinity Methodist parsonage with the Rev. J. Campbell officiating. The attendants were the bride’s sister, Mrs. D. W. Whitaker and the bridegroom’s sister and brother-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Matney. The bride wore a pale gray gabardine suit with a corsage of Talisman roses. Mrs. Whitaker wore a light blue gabardine dress with navy blue accessories and a corsage of white and pink carnations. Mrs. Matney wore a gray suit with a pink and white carnation corsage. The couple will be at home at 107 West 16th. Mrs. Trahoon has been employed by the Preferred Fire Insurance Company the past five years. Mr. Trahoon is employed by the Gager Construction Company.—Capital

  Obituary- Trahoon, Elizabeth Elizabeth M. "Betty" Trahoon Elizabeth M. "Betty" Trahoon, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on September 16, 1923 in Topeka, the daughter of Louis and Olive Case Paul. She was a life-long Topeka resident. She graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed by Preferred Fire Insurance Company and American States Insurance Company before retiring in 1986. She was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church. Betty married Floyd Trahoon, Sr. They were divorced. Survivors include their children, Sue Gaggero and husband, Tim of Topeka, Steve Trahoon of Topeka, Floyd Trahoon, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Topeka, three grandsons, Jason, Matthew and Kevin and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Francis Whitaker in 1978. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Crestview United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Betty will lie in state after noon Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Crestview United Methodist Church, 2245 S.W.
