| Obituary- Turnbull, Ronald DELIA NATIVE DIES JAN. 11 IN TOPEKA
Services will be held this Thursday for Ronald A. Turnbull, 55, former resident of the Delia and Maple Hill communities.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. from the Hasenbank and Lamar Funeral Home at Alma, with interment to be made in the Bethlehem Cemetery near Paxico.
Mr. Turnbull died Monday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted in December. He had an apparent liver ailment.
He was born Sept. 11, 1915, at Delia and lived in the Maple Hill community for many years before he moved to Alma seven years ago.
A carpenter and cabinet maker, Mr. Turnbull was a veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post No. 32 at Alma.
He was married to Ellen Maginley of Paxico, who survives, on Jan. 13, 1940.
Other survivors include twins, a son, Daniel Turnbull, and a daughter, Dinah Turnbull, both of the home; another son; Michael Turnbull, of Overbrook; and another daughter; Mrs. Cynthia Stuewe, Alma; A sister; Mrs. Sara Yingling, Route 3, Topeka; two brothers; Joe Carothers, and Kenneth Carothers, both of Topeka; and five grandchildren.
