    J. Frank Van Orsdol
    J. Frank Van Orsdol, 82, of route 6, died Tuesday morning in a Topeka hospital. He was born April 5, 1876 near Silver Lake and had spent his entire life in that community. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, Lake Lodge No. 50, AF&AM, and Loyd Chapter No. 176, Order of Eastern Star, at Silver Lake.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rovena Van Orsdol of the home; a son, Raymond R. Van Orsdol of Grantville, and two grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the Parker mortuary with burial in Prairie Home cemetery.


    We are all very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Frank Van Orsdol Monday night. He had been a long-time resident of this neighborhood. He leaves to mourn his going his wife, one son and two grandchildren, many other relatives and friends, for he was a friend to all. To know him was to love him. Funeral services were at 2 o’clock December 24 at Parker Funeral Home with burial in Prairie Home Cemetery.
