| Anniversary- Van Vleck, Omer and Ann Omer and Ann Van Vleck, Rossville, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a reception from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Rossville American Legion Hall. A dance will follow.
Hosts will be their children, Omer and Judy Van Vleck, Rossville; Eric and Betty Hinterweger, Rossville; and Sam and Sharon Landreth, Junction City. They have 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Omer and Ann Van Vleck were married Oct. 30, 1956, at Burlington.
Mr. Van Vleck retired from the Van Vleck Oil station in Rossville.

Anna Marie Van Vleck, 83, Rossville, died Thursday, August 22, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born April 4, 1919, at Ulmerfeld-Hausmening, Austria.
She grew up in the Ulmerfeld-Hausmening, Austria community and lived there until she moved to the Rossville community in 1953. She became a naturalized citizen in 1958. She was a homemaker. She attended the Rossville Chris¬tian Church, and was a member of the Rossville Senior Citizens.
On October 31, 1956, she mar¬ried Omer Van Vleck in Yates Center. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Omer Lee Van Vleck, Rossville; a daughter, Sharon Landreth, Junc¬tion City; a daughter-in-law, Betty Hinterweger Cummings, St. Marys; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Her service was at 2 p.m. Mon¬day at the Rossville Christian Church. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. A family visitation was held at Piper Funeral Chapel Sun¬day evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Senior Citi¬zen Center and sent in care of Pip¬er Funeral Chapel, 419 Main, Rossville 66533.

Mrs. Van Vleck was a homemaker.
She was born April 4, 1919, in Ulmerfeld-Hausmening, Austria. She grew up in the Ulmerfeld-Hausmening, Austria, community and lived there until coming to the United States in 1953. She became a naturalized citizen in 1958.
Mrs. Van Vleck was a member of the Rossville Senior Citizens and a former member of a Topeka bowling league. She attended the Rossville Chris¬tian Church.
She married Omer Van Vleck on Oct. 31, 1956, at Yates Center. He survives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ross¬ville Christian Church. Burial will be in the Ross¬ville Cemetery. Mrs. Van Vleck will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at Piper Funeral Chapel, Rossville, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
