| Obituary- Van Vleck, Gerald Jeff Van Vleck dies
Gerald William (Jeff) Van Vleck, 44, a lifelong resident of the Rossville community, died Sunday at a Kansas City hospital.
Jeff, as he was called, was known by almost everyone in this community and his death was a shock. He had been in failing health due to a heart condition.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Luella Van Vleck of the home; two daughters, Miss Emma Lee Van Vleck of Kansas City, and Laura Van Vleck of the home; four sons, Clifford, Charles, Richard and Parker, all of the home: a sister, Mrs. Lois O’Donnell of St. George; two brothers, Florene Van Vleck of California and Alvin Van Vleck of Kansas City, and his mother, Mrs. Emma Van Vleck of Kansas City.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Rossville Methodist church; burial will be in the Rossville cemetery.
Rev. Don Jones will conduct the services and pallbearers are Clyde Rogers, Francis Pardee, Bob Rawlings, Joe Campbell, Jack Parr and Oscar Bixby. Arrangements were made by Hurley Funeral Home.
