 | Anniversary- Van Vleck, Arthur and Mary Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Van Vleck will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary New Years day at their home, 188 Holman, Topeka, Kansas.
Arthur Van Vleck and Mary Wax were united in marriage in Rossville by the Rev. Talmage January 1, 1906.
They both grew up in the Rossville community and made this their home until they moved to Topeka thirty-seven years ago. They have four children, Irving, Homer, Mrs. Ethel McGrew and Mrs. Helen Murphy, all of Topeka. Eight grand-children and three great grand-children, all will be home except two grand-daughters, one with her husband and two children is in Germany and the other and her husband is in San Diego, Calif.
No invitations have been sent but Mr. and Mrs. Van Vleck will have open house at their home from two to five New Years Day.

Irving H. Van Vleck, 83, Belfair, Wash., formerly of Topeka, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1992, at a Bremerton, Wash., hospital.
He worked at McFarland Drug Store and later for Gibbs Clothing Company in Topeka over 30 years.
He was born Dec. 9, 1908, in Ross¬ville, the son of Arthur I. and Mary Wax Van Vleck. He moved to Topeka in 1918 and to Belfair, Wash., in 1978.
He was a 50-year member of Oak¬land IOOF Lodge No. 640 in Topeka.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Fisher; Union, Wash.; a brother. Ho¬mer G. Van Vleck, Prairie Village; two sisters, Ethel McGrew, Story, Ark., and Helen Murphy, Topeka; two grandchildren; and two great-grand¬children.
Graveside services conducted by IOOF Lodge No. 640 will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Van Vleck will lie in state after 10 a.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortu¬ary in Topeka.
