| Obituary- Viergever, Glen 1 Viergever
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Parker-Price Mortuary for Glen Marvin Viergever, 59, Topeka, who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1993, at his home of complications of cancer.
Mr. Viergever was a sheet metal worker out of Sheet Metal Workers Local 77 with 31 years service when he retired. He recently worked for South Village Mobile Home Park. He was an Army veteran.
He was born Oct. 31, 1933, west of Topeka, the son of Andy and Lula Simmons Viergever. He was graduated in 1951 from Rossville High School.
Mr. Viergever was a member of Willard Baptist Church where he was a song leader, deacon, treasurer and had served in other offices. He also was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion in Topeka.
Survivors include his fiancee, Mary Lou Adkins, Topeka; his parents, Andy and Lula Viergever, Topeka; two sisters, Helen Viergever, Rossville, and Rose Marie Anderson, Topeka; and five brothers, Don Viergever, Maple Hill, Tony Viergever, Grove, Okla., Larry Viergever, Sarasota, Fla., David Viergever, Morton, Ill., and Darrell Viergever, Topeka.
A sister, Kathy Viergever, died Oct. 31, 1963.
Military graveside services will be conducted by Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Viergever will lie in state until service time today at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Willard Baptist Church in care of the Rev Ray Canfield, 902 S.W. Frazier, Topeka, 66606.
