    William Wax
    William Wax, aged 66 years, 3 months and 27 days died last Saturday afternoon at 4:30 after three weeks of serious illness from a complication of diseases that had kept him in poor health for about four years. Mr. Wax was born in Pennsylvania, July 3, 1849, leaving that state while quite young and moving to Illinois. He was a member of an Illinois regiment during the Rebellion and left Illinois about 1878 coming to Rossville and made this neighborhood his home for the past 37 years. In the year 1880 he was married to Elmina Heslet and to them was born six children, Joseph of Pecna, Colo., Mrs. Maude Reichman of Topeka, Clinton of St. Marys, Mrs. Mary VanVleck, Mrs. Anna Lemon and Mrs. Bertha Myers, all of Rossville, with his widow survive him. Mr. Wax united with the M.E. Church in 1800 and remained a consistent and faithful member until his death. The funeral was held Monday, at 1:30 at the M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. All, of Topeka, a former minister here and a personal friend of the family. Interment was made in the Rossville cemetery.
