  Obituary- Welch, Verne Verne L. Welch Verne L. Welch, 63, of Rossville died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital. He was born in Republic County and was an electrician at the Santa Fe shops for 39 years. He was a member of the Rossville Grange. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Welch, and a son, James Welch, both of the home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Hurley Funeral Home in Rossville. The service will be conducted by Rev. Floyd Gee. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
