    MRS. ELLA S. WELLS
    Mrs. Ella S. Wells, 88, Mayetta, died Tuesday night, January 3, 1978, in a Holton hospital.

    She was born July 15, 1889, in Adrian, the daughter of Alonzo and Ella Jackson Stone. She had lived in Mayetta since 1921. She worked many years at the Holton Hospital.

    She was married in 1928 to Clarence Wells in Topeka. He died February 2, 1942.

    Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Eby, Mayetta, and Mrs. Clara Harper, Newcastle, Wyo.; five stepsons, Myron Wells, Cecil Wells and Herbert Wells, all of Holton, George Wells, Topeka, and Harold Wells, Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Mable Martin, Topeka; a brother, Clyde Wells, Topeka; 10 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

    Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial was in Holton Cemetery. Ella S. Wells

Myron Wells, Cecil Wells and Herbert Wells, all of Holton, George Wells, 557 Burr, Topeka, and Harold Wells, Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Mabie Martin, 1031 N. Central, Topeka; a brother, Clyde Wells, Topeka; 10 step- grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery.
