| Obituary- Wells, Paul Paul A. Wells
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home for Paul A. Wells, 77, Topeka. He died Saturday, May 13, 1989, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Wells was employed in the communications department of the Santa Fe Railway offices 46 years before he retired in 1975.
He served in the Navy during World War II, including eight weeks in Guam.
He was born Sept. 11, 1911, at
Delia, the son of William and Cora
Dove Wells. He was graduated from Soldier High School and lived in Topeka since 1930.
Mr. Wells was a member of the United Methodist Church in Soldier.
He also was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge, both in Topeka.
He was married to Veda L. Broadbent Aug. 23, 1938, at Soldier. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Paul E. Wells, Green River, Wyo., and Robert E. Wells, Topeka; three sisters, Lillie Mae Wells, Soldier, Geneva Jones, Estes Park, Colo., and Velma Meade, Topeka; a brother, Lester Wells, Grants Pass, Ore.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rochester Ceme-tery. Mr. Wells will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
