Wehner & Weybrew Marriage Solemnized
Helen Margaret Wehner and Martin Glen Weybrew were married at 10 a.m. September 11 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville. The Rev. Donald Reck officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wehner, Rossville, and Mr. and Mrs. M.G. Weybrew, Wamego.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride satin fashioned with fitted bodice, high neckline and a chapel train. She carried a cascade of white gladioli.
Mrs. Marvin Burgett, Rossville, was her sister's matron of honor, and Peggy Rezac, St. Marys, was bridesmaid. They wore street-length dresses of Royal Blue brocade. Their wedding ring veils were of the same material. They carried a cascade of pink gladioli. Steven Copeland, Rossville, carried the rings.
Best man was Steve Weybrew, Wamego, and Larry Wehner, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Ushers were Marvin Burgett and John Wehner.
A reception in the Rossville Community Center followed the ceremony. Assisting were Miss Virginia Stach, Miss Diana Cowan, Miss Freda McCollough, Miss Norma Klingenberg and Mrs. Edgar Tulles.
Following a short wedding trip to the Ozarks, the couple is at home in Rossville.
The bride, a graduate of Rossville High School, is employed at Wehner's Variety and Wehner's Dry Goods Stores in St. Marys. Mr. Weybrew is a graduate of Wamego High School and is employed by Farmers Union Implement Co., St. Marys. |

| Obituary- Weybrew, Martin 1 Martin G. Weybrew Jr., 32, a resident. of the Rossville community since 1965, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted July 30. He underwent knee surgery a few weeks ago and suffered an apparent pulmonary embolism Saturday.
He was born Nov. 16, 1945, at Wamego where he spent his early life. He Was a machinist and was employed by Brackett Inc., in Topeka. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic
Church at Rossville.
He was married to Helen M. Wehner Sept. 11, 1965, at Rossville. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Weybrew and Bridget Weybrew, both at home; a son, Paul Weybrew, at home; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Weybrew Sr., Wamego.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys. Contributions may be made to the Martin Weybrew Jr., Memorial Fund yet to be designated by relatives and sent in care of the funeral home at St. Marys.
