 | Obituary- Whearty, Edward Edward Whearty Dies In Topeka
Edward Wesley Whearty died at his home in Topeka on July 4. A retired Santa Fe employee, he was the brother of Martin Whearty of Rossville.
He was born January 13, 1882, to James and Melvina Whearty, Westmoreland.
Funeral services were held July 7 at Parker Mortuary with burial in Rossville Cemetery. The Rev. Don Jones officiated at the services.
Other survivors include three half-brothers, James Nason, Leland Nason, and William Nason, all of Topeka, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Galen Whearty, Calvin Whearty, Everett Whearty, Bill Whearty, Francis Foster and Howard Berends.
Galen and Everett Whearty of Wichita and a group from Westmoreland also attended the funeral.
