• Documents		Obituary- Whittington, Ruth 1 Mrs. Ruth E. Whittington LAWRENCE - Mrs. Ruth E. Whittington, 82, Eudora, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 1988, at a Lawrence nursing home. She was born March 24, 1906, at Delia in Jackson County, the daughter of James Henry and Matilda Hiserman McClain. She moved from Benkelman, Neb., to Eudora in 1979. Mrs. Whittington attended the Baptist Church. She was married to Harry Keith Whittington Dec. 26, 1947, in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Harry Keith Whittington Jr., Benkelman, Neb.; three daughters, Anna Mae Stevenson, Denver, Karol M. Seymour, Bird City, and Evelyn K. Tuwey, Windsor, Colo.; a brother, Sam McClain, Holton; two sisters, NorraB. Hurla, Hollister, Mo., and Myrnah McClain, Glendale, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the mortuary.
