| Marriage- Koci, Lillian-Wiant, Everett The marriage of Miss Lillian Hazel Koci, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Koci, to Corp. Everett E. Wiant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmus Wiant, of Silver Lake, took place a 8:30 o'clock Saturday night at the home of the Rev. W.E. Dull who officiated. The bride who is employed in the office at the 832nd Specialized Supply Depot, was formerly employed for five years by the Shawnee County Agricultural Conservation Assn. Corporal Wiant returned recently after 19 months' service in the South west Pacific and is convalescent at Winter General Hospital from an illness. |

Everett E. Wiant
Everett E. Wiant, 65, 1900 W. Lyman Road, died Thursday at his home.
Dr. Antonio Huaman, Shawnee County District coroner, said Wiant hanged himself.
He was born April 21, 1915, at Silver Lake, the son of Elmus and Mary Hine Wiant, and lived in the Topeka area all his life.
Mr. Wiant was a carpenter and worked in the maintenance department of Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center.
An Army veteran of World War H, he was a member of Silver Lake Post No. 160 of the American Legion and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 555, Topeka.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Janet Northcraft, 5136 N.W. Pueblo Court; and a brother, L.W. Wiant, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. The casket will remain closed. Memorial contributions may be made to Silver Lake Baptist Church.
