    Donald Earl Wiley
    Donald Earl Wiley, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Rossville Health Care & Rehabilitation in Rossville. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Shawnee Heights Public School Foundation, 4401 SE Shawnee Heights Rd., Tecumseh, KS 66542 or to the American Diabetes Association, 837 S.     Donald Wiley
    Donald Earl Wiley, 87, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Congestive Heart Failure on January 27, 2012 at Rossville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 13,1924 to John and Dorothy (Summers) Wiley in Enumclaw, Washington. Mr. Wiley served proudly in the Navy in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He met his bride, Margaret Peak, at the University of Washington. They were married on August 6, 1948. She proceed him in death on February 28, 2005. Mr. Wiley was an Activities Therapist at the Menninger Foundation for over 30 years where he enjoyed guiding the patients in outdoors with project groups building rock walls, landscaping, in the woodworking shop and being part of a dedicated staff. He was active in the Boy Scouts and served many positions including Scoutmaster for Troop 18, was an active member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge for 60 years, and volunteered for the Topeka Literacy Council. Mr. Wley enjoyed woodworking, camping with family and friends, reading, gardening, a variety of movies, attending music concerts and community plays. He was a loving husband and father who was dedicated to his family. His calming demeanor and love will be greatly missed. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Jean Deever, and her husband, Bob, of Topeka, his son, Dr. Bruce R. Wiley of Greybull, WY, his grandsons, Douglas Eugene Deever of Omaha, NE, Michael G. Deever of Topeka, Cheyenne Wiley of Billings, MT, Julian Wiley of Greybull, WY, along with many loving and long time friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
