    MARIE WINFREY
    Marie Winfrey, daughter of Mr. and' Mrs. George Winfrey, was born March 19, 1906, at Wabaunsee, Kan. and died April 11, 1929. at Christ hospital, Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 23 years and 22days. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Winfrey of Rossville; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Anderson of Delia; seven brothers, James Winfrey, Casper, Wyoming; Harold Winfrey, Sioux City, Iowa; Willard Winfrey, Wamego, Kan.; Raymond Winfrey, Sioux City, Iowa; Victor, Russell and Bernell, of the home address; a host of relatives and friends.

    She was a junior of the Silver Lake high school. She was a loving daughter and deeply interested in religious principles and read her bible constantly as well as other religious books.

    Her death occurred at 4:45 p. m. Thursday, April 11, following an operation Thursday forenoon for the removal of an inward goiter. Funeral services were held in the Rossville Presbyterian church, Monday, April 15, at 2:30 p. m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. Apel. Music was furnished by Mrs. A. B. Jamieson and Mrs. Homer Reid. The pallbearers were Messrs. Walter Jones, Archie Jones, Willard Vance, Alfred Vance, John Vance and Jesse Robison.

    Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.
