    Kenneth Wingerd

    Services were at 11:00 Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home in Marion for Kenneth Clair Winegerd [sic Wingerd], 70, who died Saturday, February 15, 1975 at his home in Marion. He had a heart attack.

    He was born December 28, 1904, at
    Navarre in Dickinson County. He lived at Rossville from 1931 to 1947 when he moved to Marion.

    He formerly owned and operated a grocery store at Rossville and later owned and operated the IGA Store at Marion before he retired eight years ago. He was a member of Valley United Methodist Church at Marion, Hesperian Lodge No. 111, AF&AM, at Rossville; and the Kiwanis Club at Marion.

    He was married to Margaret H. Ruhnke June 18, 1931, in Dickinson County. She survives.

    Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth Gordon Wingerd, Overland Park, and Bruce H. Wingerd, Clay Center; three brothers, Eldon Wingerd, McLean, Va., Winston Wingerd, Syracuse, N.Y., and Keith Wingerd, Navarre; three sisters, Mrs. Arlene Foulk, Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Fern Kukuk, Kansas City, Ks., and Mrs. Dorothy Tuggle, Great Bend; and seven grandchildren.

    Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
