Alton E. Wingert
ROSSVILLE — Alton E. Wingert, 70, Rossville, died Friday, July 17, 1992, at his home.
Mr. Wingert was a salesman for Duffens Optical Company. He retired in 1985. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born Oct. 6, 1921, in Larned, the son of Roy and Edith Hainline Wingert.
Mr. Wingert was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rossville.
He was married to Betty Irene Raleigh on Sept. 14, 1941, in Lyons. She survives. A son, Brian Wingert, died in 1978.
Other survivors include a daughter, Rozann Tebo, Rossville; four grand-children; and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m at Windom Cemetery in Windom. He will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Rossville or Midland Hos¬pice of Topeka.
