DOVER – Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Keene Methodist Church west of here for James Andrew Winsor, 85, who died Friday night at his home in Burlingame.
He was born Oct. 19, 1885 near Eskridge and spent most of his life in the Dover and Burlingame communities. He was a retired farmer.
He was married to Cora Bretton Aug. 18, 1909, at Phillipsburg. She died April 21, 1945. He was married to Irene Griffith May 17, 1947, at Holton. She survives. A son, Cloyce Winsor, died Dec. 7, 1958.
Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Fannie Gurtler, Harveyville, Mrs. Nellie Sparks, Perry, Mrs. LaMoyne Sullivan, St. Marys, Mrs. Cleo Pearl, Bartlesville, Okla., Mrs. Cora Brody, Naugatuck, Conn., and Mrs. Helen Hunsecker, 1909 Colorado, Topeka; three sons, James Winsor, Grantville, Lyman Winsor, 638 Highland, Topeka, and Harold Winsor, rural Burlingame; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Eason, Sylmar, Calif., and Mrs. Fannie Fasig, 813 Webster, Topeka; 31 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Keene Cemetery west of Dover. Austin Funeral Home, Eskridge, is in charge of arrangements.
