Evelyn Lytle Woehr, 81, St. Marys, died Friday, December 8, 1995, at the Rossville Valley Manor.
She was born April 23, 1914, in Kaw Township near Belvue, the daughter of John and Mary Ann Mullen Lytle.
She had lived in the St. Marys community most of her life.
She grew up in the Belvue community. She worked for K.N.I. in food services. She also worked for Griffin Locker Plant in St. Marys as a meat wrapper and had worked at the Seymour plant in Topeka for many years. She worked for Pottawatomie County as a homemaker and had been a custodian at the St. Marys Grade School.
She was married to Delbert Woehr September 15,1938, at Del Norte, Colo. He died April 27, 1966. She was also preceded in death by a son, Darrell, in 1943.
Surviving here are four daughters, Darla Hisey, Marble Falls, Tex., Betty Phillips, Austin, Tex., Kay Shepherd, Belvue, and Cheryl Mace, Manhattan; a son, Gerald Woehr, St. Marys; a brother, Clint Lytle, Rossville; one sister, Thelma Seele, Wamego; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Family visitation was at Piper- Verschelden Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Her funeral service will be at 1:30 Tuesday (this afternoon) at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, rural Belvue.

ST. MARYS — Evelyn Lytle Woehr, 81, St. Marys, died Friday, Dec. 8, 1995, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Woehr had worked in food service at the Kansas Neurological Institute and at the Griffin Locker Plant in St. Marys. She also had worked at the Seymore Plant in Topeka. Mrs. Woehr had been a homemaker for Pottawtomie County arid a custodian at St. Marys Grade School.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Belvue. Mrs. Woehr will lie in state from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from 6 to 8 p.m.
